Are you looking for a valuable experience and a way to help your community? Breaking Down Barriers has volunteer opportunities for a range of skills and interests including:

  • Companions for adults with a disability
  • Administrative or office help
  •  Fundraisers
  •  Event help

  • People with interesting life experiences to share

Additionally, our Board of Directors and all committees are volunteer-run. If you have skills or knowledge that you want to share, Breaking Down Barriers would love to hear about it!

All volunteers complete an application, provide references, and attend an interview and orientation session before beginning. The minimum age of our volunteers is 16. Volunteers who work with consumers, consumer information, or cash must be 19 or older.
